Troy - A City Under Siege Coin Collection

The Trojan War  is one of the most legendary Greek mythology tales. Led by the greatest Greek hero of all time, Achilles, Greek soldiers destroyed the villages of Troy over a lengthy 9 year period, yet the city of Troy remained impenetrable.

So, a cunning plan was devised and a huge, hollow horse was built, an animal sacred to the Trojans, it was left just outside the gates of the city as if it was a gift from the Gods. That evening the Trojans dragged the horse in not knowing that waiting for them inside, the ravenous Greeks could be found, set to open the gates of Troy and finally destroy the city.

The City Under Siege Collection begins with the Achilles Half Dollar coin and is succeeded by 7 more 55mm high relief coins. Every month the story unfolds as each coin features a different Greek soldier and all are finished in antique bronze as a nod to the Bronze Age period the tale originates from.

This legal tender coin collection is exclusively available at The Koin Club and comes presented in a FREE official collector album which contains more details about the story and its characters.
