On July 31 of said year, the final tot was issued, but nearly a decade later, \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eCharles Tobias\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e obtained the rights to the recipe of the famous Navy Rum: a careful blend of five \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eWest Indian Rums\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e with a proper punch.\u003cbr\u003e\r\n\r\n\t \u003cbr\u003e\r\n\r\n\tNow, \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ePusser\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e released a \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eNavy-inspired blend\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e with a new recipe that spent a decade and a half in charred oak barrels (the Rum, not the recipe). The new concoction replaced the now unavailable \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e15-year-old Rum\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e sourced by \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eTrinidad Distillers\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e with a similar Spirit from Guyana. The best Rum in the World thus went through an overhaul, with a rebranding to match it. The rebirth has tropical aromas of Demerara sugar, molasses, and dried fruits, with a lovely spicy nose. \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e3,000\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e cases were made, and the Rum is bottled at 40% ABV. If there ever was a sipping Rum, this is it.
